Surah Naba 1.31

Surah an-Naba (Arabic: سورة النبأ‎, “The Tidings”, “The Announcement”) is the seventy-eighth chapter of the Quran, containing 40 verses. This chapter is structured into two equal parts, each comprising twenty verses. The initial section elucidates the marvels of the earthly realm, touching upon elements such as the earth itself, vegetation, the tranquility of nightfall shared among affectionate partners, mountains, and rainfall. In contrast, the latter segment delves into the enduring marvels and terrors of the afterlife, portraying vivid scenes of sinners facing punishment alongside descriptions of the rewards awaiting devout believers in paradise.

• Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (a.s.) has stated that regular recitation of this surah bestows the privilege of visiting Masjidul Haraam within the same year, by the will of Allah.
• The Holy Prophet (a.s.) emphasized that committing this surah to memory carries abundant blessings.
• It is believed that reciting this surah with the intention of remaining awake prevents drowsiness. Likewise, reciting it before embarking on a journey is thought to facilitate a smooth voyage with the assistance of Allah Almighty.
